Courses

When I try to open a course unit, I get the message, "The course that you have requested ... is not currently installed on this machine. If you would like to take this course, please ask your teacher to make it available for you"

All available courses display in the Table of Contents. However, only four of our original courses are installed with the main Cyber High installation (Environmental Science A, Pre-Algebra, Themes in Literature A, U.S. History A.). All other courses must be installed separately from the Cyber High Add-On Course CD (white) before they can be viewed.

Why are the graphs in some of the courses not showing up correctly? All I can see is computer programming language.

There are four "plugin" programs in addition to Cyber High that are needed to view all parts of the Courses. They are called plugins because they "plug in", or coordinate with your Internet Browser. These programs are Windows Media Player, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Quicktime, and Cosmo Player. Different courses require different programs for complete viewing. For example, Algebra A & B only need Adobe Acrobat Reader while Physical Science A needs all four plugins. If a course graph or image is not showing up correctly, most likely the program that is needed to view the image is not installed yet. The four plugins can be installed from your Cyber High CD. However, do not install them by re-installing the complete Cyber High program. Use Windows Explorer to look on the CD for the tmpCombo folder. There will be a *.exe file within each program's folder that will initiate the installation process.

I found an error in one of the courses. How do I report it?

Login to Cyber High using an administrative or teacher login. Please report errors using the Problems link that is found in the Management folder. The form should be filled out completely and emailed or faxed to (559) 264-8326.
