Effective Learning

PASS curriculum is designed as an alternative method of instruction for migrant students. The techniques utilized must be geared to meet the individual needs of the students as well as to best utilize the capabilities of the teachers.

When implementing the PASS Program, it is important to consider the following questions:

  1. Are the students assigned to the proper course of study and grouped appropriately?
  2. Are they working together using cooperative learning techniques or is each student working independently?
  3. Is the completed work reviewed in a timely fashion and corrected to ensure student understanding?

There are many ways to achieve learning through the PASS curriculum but we will focus on two particular methods of instruction: The Individualized Approach and the Cooperative Learning Approach.
