I cannot log in. Instead, I get a message stating, "NT Administrator Rights are required to load this program onto NT. Please login as an administrator and then rerun this installation"Our program is trying to install a new version of our program automatically on your computer. This message indicates that you do not have permission to install software on your computer. Therefore, you will need to contact someone who has an Administrator login to your computer. Typically, this is your local computer technician who will July 26, 2007 on the program icon. Unfortunately, you will not be able to log in to our software until this step is completed. For NT Administrators: Our program checks for a new version randomly over a four day period. If a version is available, it is copied to each computer when a user logs in. The next time the program is loaded, the upgrade installation is initiated. (Please check the "Cyber High News" icon in the toolbar to determine the latest version available): To Immediately Upgrade a Computer to a New Version
Why can my students log onto some computers but not others in the lab? Each new student is enrolled and given a login account from an Internet PASS/Cyber High administrative computer. The teacher clicks "Upload Passwords" to send the account information to our server. For a student to be able to log in to Internet PASS or Cyber High on another computer, the administrator must "retrieve" the login that was submitted to our server by logging in to the other computer and clicking "Upload Passwords". This will transfer all login accounts from our server to the other computer. The above steps would need to be repeated on any other computer the student may log in to. (Note: As long as students log into other computers in the lab, they will automatically retrieve the latest created login accounts every three days provided students log into the program.) Neither the teacher nor student logins and passwords work anymore on a computer. What can I do to get them working again?Every three days or so, logins and passwords are updated automatically on your computers provided users login. Every once in a while this data gets corrupt when traveling over the Internet. We have a fix on our web site that should correct the problem. Essentially it replaces potentially corrupt logins & passwords from your computer and retrieves a new set of logins & passwords. After that, all previously created logins & passwords should work again. (Cyber High is required for the following fix. If you don't have it installed, please call Russ Chinn for assistance at 800-987-7277.) Click the following link, User Login fix, and follow the prompts. Why won't the Internet PASS or Cyber High program accept the login and password I am trying to create for a student?Only one specific login is allowed per school site. If a login is already taken, it can't be added again. For example, if the login "clopez" has been used once, it can't be used again. Try changing the login slightly and see if that will then be accepted. |
